We on a World Tour
The view from a Tuk Tuk.
9 countries. 4 months. 1 backpack. When my husband and I decided to leave our San Francisco home of 15 years and return to our Southern California roots, we found ourselves in a rare window of freedom—no rent, no pets, no jobs, and no children. Seizing this opportunity, we embarked on a whirlwind journey across nine countries over four months, pushing our physical and financial limits before settling into what would become the most transformative years of our lives. While we were undoubtedly flying too close to the sun, we had quite a few ‘layovers’ where we found ourselves in worlds far more bewildering and striking than what we had ever known; and our experiences! Oh how they were beautiful, sometimes wrenching experiences that will stay with us for years to come. But ultimately, and I can only say this because I survived my life the past few years, the stressors of life are still not as significant as the reality of my travels. And thank the Universe for these life-giving memories.
